Who I am

Artistic Biography | Who I Am

I am a self-taught artist and my first sketches date back to the 90s. Since I was a child, teachers and professors managed to capture my attention only if I could simultaneously dedicate myself to drawing, mainly fashion sketches . The latter have reigned and continue to reign supreme in my artistic scenario. For years I was convinced that my path was fashion, but over time I understood that a much broader panorama awaited me.

I was born and raised surrounded by art: Rome is a city that can move you every day. My family owns an art gallery in Via Margutta , the famous street of painters, a place that gave me the opportunity to closely observe artists of all calibers. I experienced the charm of the secret and silent studios of artists of the past, full of colors, brushes and accessories that were apparently dated, but rich in ancient knowledge . Despite this authentic and rare heritage, I often underestimated myself, until I decided to timidly expose myself to the public. It was at that moment that I realized I had a gift , thanks to the interest and recognition I aroused. After a few exhibitions, requests and commissions, I became aware of my artistic ability .

Over time, I have experimented with every painting and sculptural technique: I have played with colors and materials, including gold leaf , my favorite, creating extraordinary works without realizing how I managed to create them with my hands and my non-academic ingenuity . To improve myself, I attended online courses and lessons with great masters to refine the techniques and discover the secrets of the trade.

Among the most important courses:

  • Two courses with the master Rubén Belloso Adorna for the pastel painting technique;
  • A course with the master Vicente Romero Redondo ;
  • Study of the Trompe l'Oeil technique with the master Fabio Prati in Genoa;
  • A manga course at the Roman School of Comics .

I believe, however, that the biggest secret is daily practice.

In addition to fashion sketches , which remain the most requested by my clients, I create portraits (in acrylic, pastel and oil), trompe l'oeil for interior decoration, illustrations of animals, architecture and illustrations for weddings . Lately I have become passionate about watercolor painting , a technique that I had always ignored but which offers, in my opinion, an incredible variety of interpretations compared to any other artistic technique.

Among my experiences, I proudly recall that my first sold painting is now in St. Petersburg . I often wonder where all the others have ended up.

I always wondered who my work could be useful to, until a person dear to me explained to me how important it is to know how to excite .
